Used for – Termination connector for crimping onto the ends of CAT5 or CAT5e Cable. This is the standard 8P8C (Eight Position, Eight Contact) Ethernet connector, commonly referred to as RJ45. Most frequently used in PC networking applications, such as connecting PCs together, or to a modem, router or switch. These connectors can be used with stranded or solid core cabling.
Variants – These connectors can be fitted to CAT5 or CAT5e Cable, using either of the industry standard TIA/EIA-568-A or TIA/EIA-568-B wiring configurations shown above, to create ‘Straight Through’ or ‘Cross Over’ cables
