6-pin telephone/network connector used for crimping on to the ends of 3-pair/6-way telephone cable. This is a BT standardised connector used commonly to connect telephones, modems or switches to telephone line sockets that use a 6-way connection.
The 6-way connection is currently the most commonly used by modern UK telephone connections and is compatible with single and multi-line phone systems. This plug is also suitable for use with 4-way connections used by single-line connections, most commonly standard home telephone lines and older connections.
